Closest ideologies
- Anarcho-MutualismPierre-Joseph Proudhon's anarchism: markets without capitalism. People own what they use and work, trade at cost, and borrow from mutual banks instead of paying interest to private lenders.
- VoluntaryismEvery human relationship should be voluntary. Taxation and any other force not used in self-defence are wrong, so the state should be replaced by voluntary arrangements.
- Religious AnarchismRejects the authority of the state on religious grounds, often citing scripture. Tolstoy and the Christian anarchists are the best-known examples.
- Right-LibertarianismA minimal state that protects property, contracts and personal freedom, with free markets and low taxes doing most of the rest.
